Biscuit box manufacturers

When sourcing biscuit boxes, the primary concern is food safety compliance. You must ensure the materials are BPA-free and meet FDA (USA) or EC 1935/2004 (EU) standards. For tinplate boxes, verify the use of food-grade lacquer to prevent rust and chemical leaching. For plastic containers, PP (Polypropylene) is preferred for its heat resistance and safety, while PET is ideal for high-clarity display.

To maintain biscuit crispness and extend shelf life, look for boxes with silicone sealing rings or induction foil seals. For tin containers, a stepped-lid design or the inclusion of shrink-wrap bands is essential. Always request a moisture-vapor transmission rate (MVTR) test report to verify the barrier performance against humidity.

For premium branding, prioritize suppliers offering CMYK offset printing, embossing/debossing, and spot UV coating. If you are ordering metal boxes, 3D relief sculpting can significantly enhance shelf appeal. Ensure the supplier uses soy-based or non-toxic inks to maintain the eco-friendly profile of your packaging.

With increasing global regulations on single-use plastics, consider sourcing FSC-certified paperboard or recyclable tinplate. If choosing plastic, look for RPET (recycled PET) options. Verify if the supplier holds ISO 14001 environmental management certification to align with international ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards.

Biscuit boxes, especially tin and thin-walled plastic, are prone to denting and cracking. Insist on 5-layer corrugated export cartons and individual polybag protection. For bulk sea freight, require palletization with corner protectors and shrink-wrapping to prevent collapse and moisture ingress during transit.

Focus on Total Landed Cost rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for a lower MOQ on trial orders to test market response. Ask for Gold Member status verification and check their Audit Reports provided by third parties like SGS or Intertek to ensure they are a legitimate factory and not a middleman.

Ensure the HS Code (typically 7310 for tin boxes or 3923 for plastic) is correctly declared to avoid tariff penalties. For wooden crates used in shipping, ensure they carry the ISPM 15 heat-treatment stamp to pass quarantine. Always request a Certificate of Origin to potentially benefit from preferential trade agreements.
